Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Operated by TVK
This Privacy Policy explains how TVK (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the tvkhd.tv website and any tvkhd.tv mobile or TV app (the “Service”). We collect as little as possible: you can watch without an account, and we do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
1. Information we collect
When you only watch:
Technical data needed to deliver the website and the video stream, such as your IP address, browser or device type, operating system and the time of the request. This is processed by our hosting and streaming providers (see section 4) as part of normal server logs.
No account, name, email address or precise location is required or collected.
When you use the live chat:
An anonymous identifier (a random user ID created by Google Firebase Authentication when you send your first message or report). It is not linked to your name, email or phone number.
The nickname you choose (or a random one we suggest), the messages you send, the channel room (TVK or TVK2) and the time each message was sent.
A rate-limit record (your anonymous ID, the time of your last message and a message counter) used to prevent spam.
Reports you submit: your anonymous ID, the reported message (its ID, author’s anonymous ID, nickname and text), the reason you chose and the time.
Stored only on your device (in your browser’s local storage or app storage):
Your nickname (“tvk-nick”), the list of users you blocked (“tvk-hidden”), the messages you reported (“tvk-reported”) and the Firebase sign-in token that keeps your anonymous identity. You can remove these at any time by clearing the site’s data.
Casting: if you cast with Google Cast, the Google Cast software in your browser discovers Cast devices on your network and sends the stream address to the device you choose. AirPlay is handled by your Apple device’s operating system. Google and Apple process this data under their own privacy policies; we do not receive a list of your devices.
Cookies and analytics: our code does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other apps or websites. Our hosting provider, Framer, may record aggregated visit statistics (such as page views) to operate the website.
2. How we use information
To stream TVK and TVK2 to you and enable casting.
To run the live chat: showing messages and nicknames to other viewers in the same channel.
To keep the Service safe: filtering, rate limiting, reviewing reports, removing content and banning abusive users.
To keep the Service secure and working, and to comply with the law.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are performance of our Terms (providing the Service you request) and our legitimate interests in keeping the Service safe, secure and working. We do not use your information for automated decisions with legal effects.
3. Public information
Chat messages and nicknames are public to everyone viewing the same channel. Please don’t post personal information in the chat.
4. Webcam rooms (beta) and moderator applications
Webcam rooms: when you join a room, your browser asks for permission to use your camera and microphone. They are used only while you are in a room. Audio and video are relayed live to the other participants through Cloudflare Realtime. We do not record audio or video. To run rooms and enforce our Community Guidelines, we store room chat messages, your display name and moderation actions (such as kicks, mutes and bans) in Firebase. Webcam rooms are for adults (18+) and are in beta.
Moderator applications: if you apply to be a moderator, we collect the information you submit (name, confirmation that you are 18+, languages, country/time zone, availability and your answers), your Google account email and user ID, and the status of your application. We use this information only to review applications and manage moderator access. You can ask us to delete your application at any time by emailing support@tvkhd.tv.
5. Service providers
We use these providers to run the Service. They process data on our behalf or as independent providers under their own policies:
Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) — anonymous sign-in and chat storage. Chat data is stored in the United States.
Google reCAPTCHA v3 (through Firebase App Check) — protects the chat from spam and abuse. When the chat loads, reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and browser data and your IP address, and sends it to Google to check that requests come from a real browser. It may set a cookie. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Framer — website hosting and delivery.
Video streaming network (CDN) — delivery of the live video streams.
jsDelivr — delivery of the open-source video player library (hls.js).
Google Fonts — delivery of the fonts used on the site.
Google Cast (Google) and AirPlay (Apple) — casting to your TV, only when you use them.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
6. How long we keep it
Chat messages: shown in the chat for 7 days. Each stored message carries an expiry date 90 days after it is posted, and expired messages are deleted, unless they are needed for a pending report, an investigation or a legal obligation.
Reports and moderation records (including bans): up to 12 months, or longer if needed for legal reasons.
Anonymous identifier and rate-limit record: until you ask us to delete them or until we remove inactive identifiers.
Data on your device: until you clear it.
Server logs held by our providers: according to their own retention schedules.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and the chat may only be used by people aged 13 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the chat, contact us at support@tvkhd.tv and we will delete the related data.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To delete your data, follow the steps on our Data deletion page. For any other request, email support@tvkhd.tv. Because chat is anonymous, we may ask for details such as your nickname, channel and the approximate times of your messages to find your data.
9. International transfers
We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
10. Security
All connections to the Service use encryption (HTTPS). Chat data is protected by access rules that let users only add their own messages and reports; reports and moderation records cannot be read by other users. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, show a notice on the Service.
